Squee! May the 4th be with you! Yes, I am a geek.
(Warning, this is a picture heavy post, for a printable version without all the pictures, just keep scrolling down.)
I'm so glad these turned out so cute! I had some puff pastry in my freezer so I thought I'd make some lunch items for the kiddos. They traveled well! I made some savory puffs with cheese and pepperoni, I also made some cherry ones with Palmer's all fruit. You can fill these with just about anything-
Nutella
Cream cheese and cranberry sauce
Cherries- like these turnovers I made
Spinach and Feta
Pot pie filling- (a thick one!)
Chicken breasts with cheese and marinara for a Chicken Parmesan
Bacon with jalapenos and cheese
Pumpkin pie filling
Fruit pie filling
Brie and ham...
the possibilities are endless!

I used cookie cutters and food markers to make the designs. You can just draw or paint the designs on with a little food coloring and water. I also made a "stamp pad" with food coloring, water, and a paper towel. I used that to stamp on the pastry with my cookie cutters.
