Chicken and Gnocchi Soup

This soup is a big hit with my kids! I'm so glad because it's easy to make. The fresh rosemary is so fragrant. I use store bought gnocchi for a quick meal. I've added a note at the bottom to make this without the cream. Both versions are wonderful. You can even make the soup with leftover baked chicken which is easy peasy. We love kale but if you prefer spinach that can be used also. It's a great weeknight dinner and I make extra for lunches the next day. Just heat it up and put them in a container for school.

2017-2018 School Lunches 14-30

Squeee, I am so so far behind on lunch posts. I got a new phone. Not really by choice. My last one died. Blah. I don't like new things. I got into a pretty good habit of taking pictures on my phone and posting them on here from there. Problem is, I can't figure out how to do that on this new phone. So, I have been packing lunches and taking pictures, I just now have to transfer them onto my laptop (that is legit old) and post them from there. So  here we are, behind but here. Some of these lunches I only got a picture of one while the others were thrown into lunch bags. But whatever works.

2017-2018 School Lunches 1-13

School lunches have been really random this year, a little bit of this and that. Whatever anyone wants to pack etc. But here are some pictures, many are off of my very old phone that takes the worst pictures so I apologize for the quality.

The Thermos containers in the back have ravioli and red sauce in them.

The mason jars in front have carrots, cucumber, grapes, and plums.

The ravioli were frozen. I heated them in my Instant Pot on HP, 3 minutes. There was about a cup of water in the pot, the Ravioli were in a steamer basket.

2017 School Lunches #239

I think this is the last of the school lunches! YAY!! HAPPY SUMMER BREAK ya'll.

My youngest loves those Lunchables with the bread, cheese, red sauce, and pepperoni in them. The thing is she doesn't eat pepperoni so we make our own. With ingredients that might be a little better for her? I don't know, no sugar added marinara, cheese we grate ourselves, Sandwich thins, and carrots.

Happy Tuesday! Not too many lunches because this was heading into Spring break and I divided the lunches between two posts. I hope you all are having a great week. It's been a little rainy this week. HOT on some days and chilly during others. Go figure.

Taco salads, I packed three but my oldest had to run out the door! That seems to happen a lot. But she gets fed. For the kids who want cheese, we just add it in with the hot taco meat.

It's officially Spring, okay past the official date. Seems like it was a mild winter around here with only one snow day. What about you all? It was a great way to have a snow day really. We had just enough to cancel school, and the next day was a two hour delay. By the time it was all said and done the snow all melted after the third day.  That's about all the real snow we got this year. It was still fun though.

It's almost Spring! I can't believe how fast this year is going. I sound like an old lady because I say that all the time now. I'm an old lady. Sigh. It's also cookie season, like Girl Scout cookie season. So that's why the first two lunches so far this week have Girl Scout cookies in them.
