November Days of Gratitude Day 30

 

I'm so thankful for life, life everlasting.
I'm thankful for the free gift of salvation, especially going into the Christmas season, getting ready for Jesus' birthday. I love this time of year. The celebration of, and reminder of the precious baby in the manger. The baby who grew up, fully man and full God. Died on the cross for our sins, and on the third day rose again. Paid in full. I'm eternally grateful that I, we, have a Savior.

November Days of Gratitude Days 28-29

I didn't post yesterday but I'm thankful for The Block and my sisters that I've met because of them. If you're not a Blockhead you just don't get it. You don't understand why grown women trek across the country to see a boy band from their childhood. You don't understand the memories, and that we grew up with these guys and they are a huge part of our childhood.  You don't understand how friendships can be formed between people through a band, how complete strangers can meet up once in the middle of a big city and they are instant friends. You don't understand that it's SO much better this time around. Everyone's grown up, no one's in a frenzy- ok most of us aren't, and the guys are more down to earth, friendly, and it's a great community. That's OK, you don't need to.It doesn't matter. All that matters is I'm thankful for Coming Home. For the friends, hanging out, for the shows, the meet and greets, the cruises, the after parties. All of it.

November Days of Gratitude Day 27

I know I've already said it, but I'm so thankful that I got to stay home with Diva and Piglet, and now with Pixie. I love these moments.

Here she had the three Wise Men on the ark, filled with animals to go and pick up Jesus.

Small moment, but one I'm glad I didn't miss.

November Days of Gratitude Day 26

Today I'm thankful for both modern medicine and for homeopathic/natural remedies. I believe both help and a healthy balance of both are a blessing from God.

So blessed that we're all on the mend, praying my parents will kick this cold/flu too!

November Days of Gratitude Day 25

I'm so thankful that I had such a full day I didn't get this post written. I had a wonderful day with my family. I'm so blessed!! Today my brother had to go back home after a weeks visit. So sad! We miss him so much already. But I'm so thankful for the time we were blessed with, to spend with him.

We left early in the morning to get to Baltimore, spent some time at the National Aquarium, had a great meal and dropped him off at the airport.
The girls all wore their "Ask me about my T-REX" shirts like Uncle J. They had so much fun when people asked them about it!
I'll share more pictures later, I'm so tired! AND BLESSED!

November Days of Gratitude Day 24

Today I'm thankful for the friends and family we will get to fellowship with.
"Behold how good and how pleasant it is, for brethren to dwell together."

God has blessed us with friends and the Body, no matter where we are.
I'm also thankful for God's word. I don't know it all, I don't understand it all. Not even half or  a significant portion, but God in His grace and love reveals Himself to me and meets me where I am.

Diva's Spa Birthday Brunch

 

Today I'm thankful for parties. Sounds crazy but I love them. I love that people go to enjoy fellowship, to build relationships, maintain friendships. I love throwing parties. I love blessing other people, taking care of them. They don't have to be fancy, they can be just the girls and I, our family, or they can be a backyard full of kids. Ok, I love intimate adult dinner parties too, but let's face it. I'm just not at that stage in my life right now. 

I am told I have the gift of hospitality, and for that I'm thankful to God.

Today I'm thankful for truth, truth that I can cling to. Truth that does not change, no matter my life, my circumstances, my heart, and even when I am not faithful. Truth doesn't change, God remains faithful. What a beautiful reminder in a children's book.

November Days of Gratitude Day 14

Today I am so very thankful that when my girls need me I can be here. I know that's a huge blessing, I know it's not for everyone to stay at home with their children. I know not every wants to stay at home, and that's cool too. But for me it's a HUGE blessing. I want to be here, and my husband has made it so I can be. I don't thank him enough for that.

November Days of Gratitude Day 13

You know even if life is crazy, frustrating, hard, and unfair- which so often it is, there's so much to be thankful for. Not only is life all of those crazy things, it comes in waves and just crashes down on us at times. But there's always light, always hope. I'm so thankful for that. I don't have a perfect life, my life is so far from perfect. Whatever perfect is. I have a messy disorganized house, I snap at my children, I sometimes dread making dinner. I get behind on laundry. But I find that narrowing it down to one ting I'm thankful for a day is more often than not difficult. And for that I'm so very thankful, I know I am blessed.
Last night we had a storm. We lost power for all of 5 minutes. That's it. 

Piglet got sick but she got up and didn't get sick all over the bed. Then she was fine the rest of the night.

And this morning? Diva. My eight year old. My sweet wonderful 8 year old walked by me with a hamper of dirty clothes she was taking downstairs and said, "I cleaned the bathroom." as she passed by. Sure enough I went in there and she had gotten the bathroom "company ready". Cleared the counters, wiped them down, wiped the sink down, wiped the outside of the toilet, and put in a fresh roll of toilet paper. <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">

November Days of Gratitude Day 12

Thankful that my girls are on the mend! Everyone is up and at school or hanging out. They were sick last week. Thankful that DH stayed home with them yesterday while I went to church and got to take pictures of a baby dedication. Thankful that Daddy's girls love him so much!
