I love cheese, we're a family of cheese eaters here. What scares me about cheese sometimes is the milk used to make it. Hormones? Antibiotics? GMO components? Where are these cows from and how are they raised? I just want real good cheese, made from milk free of hormones and antibiotics. Organic and non GMO? Even better.
Recently Rumiano contacted me about trying some of their cheeses. Who could say no to that? We chose the mild cheddar and the pepper jack. Both cheeses had great flavor, not like some cheeses where you just have a rubbery texture, and either no flavor or just salty. The pepper jack, while flavorful wasn't overly spicy. Both had creamy textures, though they weren't overly soft. We just sliced both blocks and snacked on them. So perfect! I packed some cubes for the kids for lunches also. The cheeses would be great for grating also. Not only did we like these cheeses, we would certainly buy them. I found them at our local Whole Foods market, but you can purchase online HERE. Our cheeses arrived nicely packaged and still cold. Not just cool. The ice packs were also still frozen.
