Do you know a child that loves to create? My girls do. Drawing, cutting paper, building things with everyday objects, molding clay (ugh), painting (oy), gluing things (HELP), all wonderful things. Sometimes just plain ol' messy though. The clay, paint, glue, GLITTER. I often find myself redirecting the girls towards something else, or letting them know that they can't use certain items unless an adult is IN the room. Because let's face it, us artsy types can get pretty messy in our creative endeavors. I tend to seek out crafting items and projects that don't require my supervision, or help. I don't mind helping a little, but I want the girls to be independent too while they create. Fibre-Craft text-UR Foam is one of those products. All of my girls can use the products independently. There's no glue needed. The colors are fun and the texture is unique.

What's also great about this text-UR Foam is that there are kits where you can make different projects- they are precut and ready to go, and there are also kits where you get sheets and adhesive squares that are great for when your kids are feeling even more creative. I love that the texture adds an element of fun and the 3D pop out also adds another element of fun. My girls made some magnets for our fridge. I had set these kids and foam sheets out one day for the older girls. Pixie was on the couch laying down, she was feeling so sick. But she saw the kits and wanted to play also. I just handed her the Owl kit, and she laid there on the couch putting it together all by herself. It was the perfect quiet activity for her when she was feeling down. There was no glue or scissors that she had to mess with. See her owl posted in the picture above? Not bad for a four year old (she just turned 5 last week).

All done. It's so cute, she was happy with it. She just looks sad because she was so sick.
Her sisters cut out shapes from some of the sheets, they also made some fish and whale magnets for our fridge.
