Dump Cake
This is so easy peasy and I know that there are so many different versions but I got this version from a dear friend of mine back home, Dawn. Dawn and I were best friends and we loved to cook and entertain. It's been a while and I don't remember exact measurements or anything, but it turned out fine.
As you can see I had to taste a corner of it, I made half with pecans and half without for Diva.
Dawn's Dump cake
1 15 oz can of crushed pineapple with the juice
1 15 (?) oz can cherry pie filling
1 box dry yellow cake mix
1 stick of butter (or more) Cold cut into pats
pecans
Dump the fruit into a 9x13 pan, mix if you want. Sprinkle with dry cake mix evenly, add a layer of pecans, dot with butter. I used a little over a stick because ... well I love butter and I wanted it to be even. Bake at 350 for about 35-40 minutes.
