Diva wanted leftover Dutch baby in her lunch. So I packed her that with some grapes, a fish shaped egg, lychee's jelly and steamed carrots and zucchini with dilled butter.
Piglet had the veggies and a star shaped egg that didn't take shape.
I love this little pig bento ... perfect size for her!

Thanksgiving leftovers lunches
I decided to pack the girls lunches for Monday after our Thanksgiving dinner. I packed them and wrapped them up in some press and seal and put them in the freezer. I will take them out Sunday night to thaw in the fridge.
The top lunch is for Diva. Carrot casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, creamed spinach and turkey and ham on skewers.
The bottom lunch is for Piglet and I to share, I will probably have some crackers and cheese also. But it has pumpkin cream cheesecake, carrot casserole, creamed spinach, turkey and cranberry sauce.

I love you....
Five lunches in this post! Whew.

I made this salad for DH's lunch today, it's WAYYY too cute for him but he ate it anyway. He definitely prefers no heart shapes etc... but he ate it all. There is fruit salad (mango, kiwi, apples tossed in cran-apple juice), honey almond slivers, krazy salt, babybel cheese, and ham.

Dinner for the girls and their sitter...
I made these bento dinners for the girls and the sitter because DH and I would be out at night. They are basically fruit salad, hand held pork pies, broccoli, dressing, croûtons, a banana for Piglet since she can't chew raw broccoli yet. Diva got a little treat and I put a chocolate truffle in the sitters bento.
Chicken and Rice lunches
I made these lunches for November 9th. My head was still pounding so I am glad I had leftovers.
Diva wanted "chicken and rice", so that's what I put in her lunch and in Piglet's lunch. The little containers have the juices from the chicken that were poured over the rice before eating. There is also fruit salad and dump cake. Diva also got a mini cupcake.
Piglet's lunch.
For DH I packed this Lock n Lock container with dump cake, fruit salad, almonds, crackers and some caramels. I was going to put a thermos of Massaman curry together for him but he ended up eating lunch here at home.

Diva's lunch for tomorrow...
Diva is having chicken and heart shaped dumplings, watermelon and dump cake for lunch tomorrow. I hope she eats well and I hope it's enough for her she ate two bowls of the dumplings tonight, one at dinner and one before bedtime. I did put press and seal wrap on the dumplings so it wouldn't spill all over.

Lunches for November 2
For the most part our lunches all contain the same thing.
This is Diva's lunch, I got this Parasite Pals for a great deal. I think it's a little on the big side but Diva wanted to use it. She's got a molded star egg, fruit salad- raspberries, apples, pineapple, mango's, salad, poppy seed dressing in the elephant container, Teddy Grahams, and the skewers have grape tomatoes, cheese and chicken fajitas meat. I also put in a fun divider for her.

Lunches for October 31
I made lunches for all of us for the 31st. All of us have basically the same lunch. With a few differences.
Here is mine- A hand held pork pie, fruit salad, spicy apple sauce, Swedish fish, slivered honey almonds, and a salad. I didn't pack dressing or mustard because I will be eating at home with Piglet.

Calzone lunch for October 26...
I got this Laptop Lunch for DH, it holds way too much food for a three year old but Diva wanted to use it for tomorrow. I hope it will hold enough for DH's lunches. It has a veggie calzone, carrots, a mini cupcake, Cesar dressing in the small container, croûtons, a salad with grapes and grape tomatoes. (Cut in half because she has to have them cut per school rules.)
I am currently shipping out 24 of these laptop lunch box because we purchased in bulk as a co op. I am unsure I would have picked purple but they are all purple.

Lunches for October 24, 2007
At the grocery store today Diva said she wanted sushi for lunch at school, so OK I bought pre made California rolls shoot me. She wanted to use a new bento that my friend K sent. She's got California roll, a little bit of pickled ginger which she really enjoys, steamed broccoli, a cupcake and fruit salad. The mini cupcakes she helped me bake a couple of nights ago. We put a chocolate chip in the middle of each one, so no frosting needed. The fruit salad is grapes, golden kiwis, green kiwi, and peaches. Her sauce container is watered down soy sauce with some sesame oil. She also wanted a "Hello Kitty" fork. I used a foil cup for the fruit salad because I don't like food mixing and touching. I also used a green "grass" divider between the sushi and the fruit salad container.

A snack to share...
I have another eye doctor appointment today so to make it easier for DH to keep the girls entertained for two hours I packed them a snack and books. It's pretty straight forward, golden kiwi, watermelon, carrots, crackers, fruit leather and some ranch salad dressing. I'll pack some waters for them also. Tonight we're going to Logan's with our friends so I wanted it to be a light snack.

Lunch at home today, we're flooded in!
We've had LOTS of rain the past two days and today when DH tried to leave for work there were minivans stuck in standing water on our street. Needless to say, we're not going anywhere. I packed all these lunches and one snack because Diva was going to go to school, DH to work and Piglet and I were going to go to a spouses day at DH's work.
Diva's lunch today is a salad with romaine leaves, red bell pepper and carrots with Cesar dressing. The top right corner has a container of herbed olive oil for dipping her foccacia, two ginger thins and yogurt raisins. The lower left corner is roasted pork and muenster cheese on a toothpick and the foccacia, Recipe here. To the right of that is a fruit salad with kiwi, apples, peaches and star fruit.
This little breakfast is for Piglet, but since we were stuck at home we had cereal and she will have this with some cheese for lunch. She has the same fruit salad as the other lunches, cheerios and yogurt raisins.
I packed a little snack for Piglet, she and Diva can share it later on in the day. It's goldfish crackers, craisins, and cheerios. I might share it too, except the craisins they are much too much like raisins.
This one is mine, TLC crackers, laughing cow cheese, apple and peach skewers, a star fruit slice and roasted pork and muenster cheese. I also put a lychee jelly in there, I am sure Diva will snag it.
DH's lunch has salad, fruit salad and the pork and cheese. He has craisins and pistachios also. (And a lindt truffle)

2007 Bento Fast fried rice!
This fried rice was so easy, I made it in the morning before school. The night before I just took out two of my frozen rice shapes to thaw in the fridge. In the morning I scrambled the eggs, warmed the frozen vegetables through and then I seasoned the rice and added it to the skillet to warm through. I found that making fried rice this way is so much easier when the rice is cold and hard, it holds it shape better. I warmed some leftover steamed broccoli packed it while the rice cooled, filled her drink bottle and packed everything up. This is all I sent to school with Diva today because they had an apple tasting and apple pie baking day at school, she ate two mini apple pies so I am sure she wasn't starving LOL. I even had the common sense to make extra rice for Piglet and I to have for lunch. I don't know why I don't just pack us all the same thing even if Piglet and I stay home. I spend many a day just staring into the fridge at lunchtime when it's just the two of us.
