Free Friday- Week in review 6/12-6/18

This past week started with the girls finishing their games strong. My middle little's team took first place in their tournament, and finished first in their division in the league, and were highest scoring. So couch, Daddy, bought them all ice cream.
Then I heard the news about Orlando, the shooting at the night club, there was a shooting earlier in the week of a singer, then later in the week the little boy who was drowned by an alligator in a freak accident. Such sad sad news. It was a heartbreaking week.  The rest of the week's pictures seem trivial in the light of all of that. But we live, we carry on, and carry those in pain in our prayers.

Pixie wanted to sleep in the attic. So she made us a little bed, and in the morning my body felt as old as it is. But look how cute?
I made a huge pot of pho, so noodles for days around here. No one complained.
Are you on Instagram? Would love to see you there!

Hannah- Day 25

This month I'll be trying to share last month's notes from the She Reads Truth blog- Women in the OT. Mostly just a cut and paste from Instagram. I may not share all the days. But some.
If you read through the study or are just starting to, leave me a comment and let me know how it's going. I can pray for you also.

Memorial Day

Remembering those who gave all. Praying for those who mourn. Thanking them for their sacrifice and service.
Bittersweet, I'm so thankful for my freedom. SO thankful. But I know it comes at a great price, still today. Everyday.

Thanking God for his goodness, asking for his continued faithfulness and protection.
And for the ultimate sacrifice-
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13

Prayers For Oklahoma

I wanted to just let you all know that I'm cancelling this weeks Take It Tuesday.
Please keep Oklahoma and all those affected, all those hurting in your prayers.
Check with your local Red Cross if you are making a donation, or check Samaritan's Purse to make a donation and see where you can help.

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Dear Jesus. So much on my heart, it's heavy. Please draw those that are hurting close to you. Please give strength and wisdom to those who need you so badly right now.

Adventures of Joy and Angel Day 17

Someone wrapped our TV in wrapping paper. The kids were so surprised. They thought it was funny, which was good. Because when Joy had made the snow angel with salt,  Pixie said, "she's so naughty!" Great time to do some forgiveness and grace teaching though!

Adventures of Joy and Angel Day 16- join us!

This is just is not exciting is it? I'll do better, tomorrow should be fun! Joy and Angel are just hanging out with the PetShop toys. It was a long busy day yesterday. We we very blessed to spend some time with friends and hosted a gift exchange. I was good for us to spend time with people we care about and love. Light and love in the midst of so much sadness. So the card I picked today was perfect for us. I pray that you get to be surrounded with loved ones today.

On the card-
Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Today- Do something kind for your family. Leave a note for someone in a special place, or read a book with a sibling.
*On another note, I'll be posting (on Facebook) a name of a victim that loss their life in the Newtown, CT shooting on December 14. Just a reminder to pray extra for their loved ones. Today is Charlotte B. age 6. I won't make a huge deal out of it, or anything. I did want to let you know so you can join if if you'd like. I want the focus to be on the victims, not anyone else.

Are you on Pinterest? I have a board for Christmas Angel and Elf Ideas it's open to the public for everyone to pin to, I'd love more ideas so leave me your pinterest link or name in the comments and I'll invite you!
