Pick Your Plum Plumbox GIVEAWAY

Ring in the New Year right here! Start off your New Year with a Pick Your Plum Plumbox, you can enter below to win one. I'm a huge fan of Pick Your Plum,  read my reviews HERE and HERE. You can also see what I received in two of my Plumboxes in the pictures posted (though I admit the last one I bought was the best, and I forgot to get a picture of it!) I generally try to purchase one if Pick Your Plum announces a sale on their Facebook. Be sure to friend them there, that's where all the giveaways and special announcements are put up!

Here's a cut and paste of part of my review from October-
I can't even begin to tell you how awesome Pick Your Plum is. It's this amazing fun site that offers great deals on craft items, clothing, party supplies, home goods, and so much more. Their staff/customer service is top notch. They have emailed me within hours each time I've contacted them with questions, or to ask if I could add something to my order- which you can't add once you put in your order. No big deal though, they just had me put in a new order for what I needed, and they canceled my first order. Within hours.
The Pick Your Plum's daily offers range from so many items, as mentioned before. There is one offer a day. You can usually get a heads up on their Facebook page of what the deal is. You can also be in the "know" for when they stock Plum boxes (like grab bags FULL of swanky items). This my friends is awesome. Plum boxes are usually flat rate boxes filled to the brim with goodies. Above is my first box that Pick Your Plum sent me for review. How lovely is that? That romper fits my four year old. The bags I used for party favors HERE. So many fun items that I'll actually use!
Once Pick Your Plum announces that these boxes will be stocked (they give a good 24 hours notice) set your clocks. They sell out fast, the last time they had 300 of them and they sold out in 12 minutes. No lie. I snagged one of those (pictured below) and this is what was in it. Detailed description in this post HERE. I'll be stalking these grab boxes whenever I can! This was a $30 box. Shipping is reasonable, this was a flat rate box- medium. (In the US that is!)
The fabulous people at Pick Your Plum have offered to one of you awesome Give Peas A Chance readers a PYP Plum box! A $75 Plum Box full of swank crafting, fashion, baking, and home decor swag! SQUEEEE! Ask me who's jealous that she can't enter to win this awesome box? Yes, me. Sigh...
But you? YOU can enter! Go do it! Then share with your friends and family, and they will thank you. If they win, maybe they will share. Come back tomorrow and get your daily entries in also!
Scroll down to see items that have been in past boxes.

If you are in the US and are 18 years of age or older, enter below! Read the rules HERE, first.

GPAC Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding

Tender, juicy, cuts with a fork like BUTTAH. That's all. Prime Rib is yummy stuff. Even if you get busy and leave it in a wee bit long and it's no longer rare. Which was still perfect for everyone, even if I prefer my steaks and Prime Rib rare. I also am working without my meat thermometer, which I usually use, like in this post. They really are handy. But you don't NEED one to make a good roast.
I seasoned this very simply, but you can do whatever you'd like. Cut slits in the roast, and slide slices of garlic or rosemary in there, rub it with your favorite spices. It's up to you! This just happens to be a method I use that works very well for me. I let the roast air out in the refrigerator uncovered for 24 hours, then let it sit on the counter for 1 hour so that it's not chilled in the middle before cooking

Fresh Cranberry Relish

MMM. This is a nice change from Cranberry Sauce or Cranberry Compote. It's a refreshing uncooked relish, great made a day or two ahead too. I like it just as a salad by itself, on a sandwich, with turkey, stirred in yogurt even. Play with different combinations of flavors. I liked the warmth that ginger puts in this, my mom had a sore throat and loved the ginger in it. I hope you'll try this it's really good!

Adventures of Joy and Angel Day 21

Nothing too exciting. Joy made some elf sized powdered sugar donuts with some Cheerios and had a tea party with Angel. They also had donuts waiting for the girls.

GPAC Smokey Ancho Chile Seasoning

This seasoning can be used for so many things.
Soups
Stews
Grilling shrimp, fish, chicken, pork, beef, vegetables
Roasting meats, vegetables
With meats in the crock pot- sprinkle it on pork or chicken. Once cooked shred it and serve as pictured above, over a salad, in lettuce wraps and more.
Use it to season tortilla, sweet potato, plantain chips, or potato chips
It has a smokey flavor, a little sweet. The Ancho Chilie powder is where the smokey flavor comes from, if you want less smokey use 1 tablespoon of the Ancho and 3 tablespoons of the chili powder. When used as a rub it caramelizes beautifully! Use as little or as much as you'd like. If you've never used coriander seed it is fragrant and so good. I use my spice grinder to grind it up. It is cilantro seed but does not taste the same.

Deuteronomy 31:8
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Adventures of Joy and Angel day 19

It's so much easier to just move the elf from place to place isn't it? Here is Joy, entertaining us all, esp Angel, who was watching from the sideboard. But it reminded me of a great Newsboys song
One to another
Do you remember me
I feel so small
Are you listening tonight

So temporary
Things that I have seen
I ran so far
Will you take me back again

Entertaining angels
By the light of my t.v. screen
24-7 you wait for me

Entertaining angels
By the time I fall to my knees
Host of heaven, sing over me

One to another
The feelings in between
I won't let go
Of all you taught me - alright

Close as a brother
The way we used to be
I'll hold my breath
And wait for you to breathe

Entertaining angels
By the light of my t.v. screen
24-7 you wait for me

Entertaining angels
While the night becomes history
Host of heaven, sing over me

Adventures of Joy and Angel Day 17

Someone wrapped our TV in wrapping paper. The kids were so surprised. They thought it was funny, which was good. Because when Joy had made the snow angel with salt,  Pixie said, "she's so naughty!" Great time to do some forgiveness and grace teaching though!

This is just is not exciting is it? I'll do better, tomorrow should be fun! Joy and Angel are just hanging out with the PetShop toys. It was a long busy day yesterday. We we very blessed to spend some time with friends and hosted a gift exchange. I was good for us to spend time with people we care about and love. Light and love in the midst of so much sadness. So the card I picked today was perfect for us. I pray that you get to be surrounded with loved ones today.

*On another note, I'll be posting (on Facebook) a name of a victim that loss their life in the Newtown, CT shooting on December 14. Just a reminder to pray extra for their loved ones. Today is Charlotte B. age 6. I won't make a huge deal out of it, or anything. I did want to let you know so you can join if if you'd like. I want the focus to be on the victims, not anyone else.

B-Amazing Foods - GIVEAWAY

It's always nice to find snacks that are healthy and portable. B-Amazing Foods have great snacks that fit the bill. I prefer savory snacks to sweet ones, B-Amazing Foods are sweet but not overly sweet. They are also SO filling, it's all the fiber and protein from the nuts, vegetables, and fruits in them! I can eat 1/2 of the Apple Coconut bars and be fully satisfied, for longer, and without a sickly sweet sugar high that I would get from a candy bar. I was sent two flavors, the Apple Coconut and the Quinoa Apricot. I snagged the Apple Coconut.
They have four bars- read more about them HERE.
Apple Coconut (Yummy!)
Lemon Cranberry (MMM, I am on the look out for this one!)
Cinnamon Raisin
Quinoa Apricot

Just look at this Apple Coconut bar up close, 50% fruits and vegetables, nuts, whole grains-
